Bishop Challoner Sixth Form adopts a ‘young professional’ dress code. In other words, we have based these guidelines on how a professional person would dress for work. This means students will be smart, well-presented and business-like.

Female students should wear: a business suit (a skirt suit or trouser suit), a blouse or smart top and black or brown leather shoes.

Male students should wear: a business suit, shirt, tie and black or brown leather shoes

In certain subjects, e.g. PE practical sessions, specialised items will need to be worn. Facial jewellery should be removed or covered up. Appropriate jewellery may be worn by Sixth Form students e.g. wrist watch, earrings/ear studs, single necklace and/ or a single bracelet.

Please note:

  • Earpieces from phones or mp3 players should not be worn around necks or in ears.
  • Extreme hairstyles are not permitted.
  • Your identity card must always be on display.
  • Tattoos are discouraged
The ultimate decision as to what is/is not acceptable will be made by the Sixth Form Leadership Team
