As a school that has been forming ‘young men and women for others’ in East London for almost 90 years, we have been doing what we can to provide support and a welcome to those most in need this Christmas.
On Tuesday, 18th December, we delivered a car full of presents to the St Francis Family Centre in Poplar. The gifts were bought by staff from across the school as part of our Advent appeal and will go directly to local children who would otherwise have gone without.

On the 29th September (the day Richard Challoner was born in 1691), our school celebrated Bishop Challoner Day.
It was a joy to welcome our new Year 7 to Bishop Challoner this week as we began the school year as London's newest mixed Catholic school.
Congratulations to our Year 13 students, who will be moving on to the next stage of their education at some of the best universities in the world!

Our school has served the families of East London for 90 years, and has grown and evolved throughout that time to best meet the needs of our community. We are delighted to be embarking on a new chapter in our history this September as we amalgamate our boys’ and girls’ schools to become a single mixed school.
We were pleased to welcome our local Member of Parliament, Apsana Begum, to our school on the last day of term.
