Boys' School

We are delighted that you are considering Bishop Challoner Boys’ School for your son and I hope we can offer him a place.

Bishop Challoner will provide your son with access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources. We believe that girls and boys are successful when educated separately between the ages of 11 and 16.

As a Federated school, we are continually successful at producing high-level public examination results. We have received a range of awards - Artsmark, Sportsmark, Extended School and School Achievement.

In 2007 we achieved Sports College Status in recognition of the importance we attach to sport and the school’s many sporting achievements. Our Ofsted report was very good and this means your son is likely to achieve better at Bishop Challoner than at another school.

We are a happy and friendly school. We welcome students from all backgrounds and, being multi-cultural, there are 73 languages spoken in the school of over 1,500 students.

As Head, I am proud of what our students achieve. I believe that any student joining Bishop Challoner has the opportunity to reach his fullest potential and go on after five years to succeed in further and higher education and ultimately in a chosen career. In partnership with you, as parents, I am confident that the coming years will be a period of great success.

Why not come and see us at one of our open evenings or make an appointment to visit the school? We look forward to meeting you.

Mr Bryan Young,

Vice-Principal and Acting Head of the Boys' School
