Mobile Phones Banned in Boys' and Girls' Schools from September
As parents are already aware from the consultation and the end of term letter, from September 2019 we are banning the possession by children of mobile phones from the school site. Children should not bring a phone onto the school site and if found to have one in their possession it will be confiscated and returned to their parent at the end of the next day.
We are of course aware that some parents wish their children to have phones during the journey to and from school for very good reasons and we support our parents in their right to make that choice. Therefore, children who do bring a phone with them on that journey may hand it in when they turn up at school and collect it from their tutor at the end of the day. This makes it necessary to have a 10 minute extension to the school day to allow for an afternoon registration – please refer to Mr Fitzgerald’s end of term letter for more information.
